Senior Water/Wastewater Project Engineer - Madison or Kenosha Office

The position will involve a full range of project management, planning, design, and operational services in the water/wastewater field. Responsibilities will include working with engineers, contractors, manufacturers, and clients on: assessing existing treatment facilities for proposed upgrades to equipment and systems, manage and establish work priorities daily for multiple projects, work independently to evaluate, select, and apply various wastewater/water technologies, equipment and processes, improve performance and compliance with environmental regulations, construction and project management, and attend client meetings and manage clients.

The successful candidate for this position should have the following: 5+ years of experience in wastewater projects planning, design, and construction, knowledge of the wastewater industry and technology trends, including all aspects of treatment systems from studies through construction, and operator assistance, Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be capable of working efficiently with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal staff, and a current Wisconsin PE license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree with wastewater emphasis, and knowledge and experience in the drinking water engineering field.

Electrical Engineer - Madison or West Bend Office

Town & Country Engineering, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer Designer to join our Engineering Team at our Madison or West Bend office.

The position will involve a full range of electrical planning, design, and operational services for
water/wastewater projects. Responsibilities will include working with engineers, contractors,
manufacturers, and clients on:

  • Design portions of a project related to electrical systems and code requirements. Design to
    include power, lighting, instrumentation, and controls.
  • Research commercially available equipment and specify equipment needs based on project
    and available technologies.
  • Calculate costs for proposed work while monitoring costs throughout all phases of the design
    project.
  • Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines such as process, HVAC, mechanical,
    administrative, and equipment suppliers.
  • Conduct periodic site observations and other services required by the contract service
    agreement.

The successful candidate for this position should have the following requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical power and/or SCADA design and construction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent training.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office programs, AutoCAD MEP, and Revit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and capable of working efficiently with
    clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal staff.
  • A current Wisconsin PE or Designer of Engineering Systems license or the ability to obtain
    one within 6 months.
  • Have a desire to work in the consulting industry.
  • Prior experience in the municipal water and wastewater markets and an understanding of
    water and wastewater processes from an electrical standpoint.
Entry Level Wastewater/Water Staff Engineer - Madison Office

Town & Country Engineering, Inc. is seeking an entry level Wastewater/Water Staff Engineer to join our Engineering Team at our Madison office.

As a Wastewater/Water Staff Engineer, a candidate will be involved in a full range of wastewater planning, design, and operation services. Responsibilities will include working with project engineers, project managers, and clients on:

  • Assessing existing wastewater treatment facilities for proposed upgrades to equipment and systems.

Entry Level Civil / Municipal Engineer - Madison Office

As an Entry Level Civil/Municipal Engineer, a candidate will be involved in full range of municipal public works analysis, design, construction, and operation services. Responsibilities will include working with project engineers, project managers, and clients on:

BIM Technician - Madison Office

Town & Country Engineering, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior BIM Technician for our Madison office. A successful candidate will be responsible for using building information modeling (BIM) software to create 3D building models and generate 2D drawings and documents.

Key Responsibilities:
• Use BIM software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks, to create 3D building models and generate 2D drawings and documents.
• Collaborate with Municipal, Water, and Wastewater engineers to design and plan construction projects.
• Identify and resolve conflicts or issues in the design process and come up with creative solutions to complex problems.
• Ensure that designs are compliant with industry standards and building codes.
• Manage projects from start to finish, including organizing and prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that construction is proceeding as planned.
• Stay up to date on the latest trends and technologies in the field of BIM engineering.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as civil engineering, architecture, or construction management. 5 plus years of professional experience preferred.
• Proficiency in BIM software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team and demonstrate a sense of urgency in achieving goals and project deadlines.

Construction Observation Technician - Madison Office

The position will involve construction administration and observation on a variable schedule of 20 to 45 hours/week. Responsibilities will include:

  • Working with engineers, contractors, and clients
  • Construction administration including reviewing contractor schedules and pay requests
  • Visiting construction sites to observe project construction and attending construction meeting

The successful candidate for this position should have the following requirements:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the street/utility, drinking water, or wastewater industries
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and capable of working efficiently with clients, contractors, and internal staff
  • Willing to work throughout Wisconsin as needed, but generally within 50 miles of the Madison office
Survey/Engineering Technician - Rhinelander Office

Town & Country Engineering, Inc. is seeking a full-time Survey/Engineering Technician to join our Engineering Team at our Rhinelander office. We encourage upcoming graduates to apply.

A successful candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • Civil Engineering Technology Associate degree
  • State certification or licensure as a professional land surveyor
  • Land surveying or construction surveying experience
  • Experience with computer-aided design tools, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D software
  • Written and verbal communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take measurements and determine property boundaries
  • Perform topographic and as-built surveys
  • Assist with construction staking or site layout surveys
  • Coordinate with field survey crews
  • Assist with zoning and permitting applications

Compensation is dependent on experience and skill level. The salary range is $58,000 to $70,000 annually.
